Wine Maker Dinner With Buty Winery

135.00

Marine Area 7 is very excited to announce our first winemaker dinner on June 2nd.

We will be teaming up with Buty Winery and John Mark from Cavatappi Wines

Buty is a family-owned winery located in Walla Walla. Using grapes from a handful

of renowned Washington winegrowing sites, including a prized section of Phinny Hill

Vineyard and Buty’s own organic Rockgarden Estate, Buty makes a small portfolio

of highly acclaimed wines, including its Columbia Rediviva, Rediviva of the Stones,

Sémillon, Sauvignon & Muscadelle blend, and its Conner Lee Vineyard Chardonnay.

Buty’s visionary Rediviva wines were Washington’s first premium blends of Cabernet

Sauvignon and Syrah, and continue to set the standard for this iconic blend among

the great wineries of the Northwest. Guided by Nina Buty, the Buty team includes

legendary consultant Zelma Long and renowned winemaker Chris Dowsett.

Buty’s wines have earned a reputation for their artistry, and for the authenticity that

inspires Buty’s winemaking approach. Buty has been at the forefront of several

winemaking movements—from its commitment to using little-or- no new oak in many

of its wines to a belief in picking earlier to retain purity, aromatics and acidity, and

finally the winery’s dedication to a natural approach that eschews the use of any

additions or “enhancement tools.” Today, Buty’s sought-after, limited-production

wines are recognized as benchmarks for quality, creativity and value—offering a rare

intersection of all three elements.

The menu is…..

Housemade bruschetta w/fava beans, preserved lemon, mint and Burrata

Hama Hama clams with chorizo

Salad of grilled Treviso

Leg of Lamb cooked over a wood fire served with grilled asparagus

Taleggio with local honey and pine nut brittle
